"When it comes down to a float-or-sink situation, only those who think outside the box will stay afloat."
That’s where I excel. With more than a decade of experience, countless satisfied colleagues, and an insatiable hunger for knowledge and personal development, I'm your guy.
“A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”
My pursuit of knowledge in the fields that interest me drives me to continually improve while keeping in mind that there is always more to learn, but only so much brain space to store it.
With the skill set I've developed over the last decade, I take pride in the various fields I’ve worked in—IT, development, and design.
Whenever a goal was set for me that involved something I had never encountered before, I was right in my element—or at least I made sure I was.
Starting from the lowest tier as a help desk, I showed my passion for the field and determination to prove I can accomplish anything set before me even if I had no prior experience, from supporting a startup team to manage full scale projects in world wide companies.
Networking, Hardware, SaaS, MDM, LDAP and SSO, these only scratch the surface.
Having a diploma in design and having my own tool to create images allows me to express whichever I desire during a presentation, whether if I need it for a demonstration for the employees of an organization or for a board of investors, I got it covered.
Whenever I saw a Sisyphus task which I could solve with automation ,a hunger to crush it arose.
Okta workflows, Jamf, Kandji, Make, JumpCloud and Intune, all code like tools which I had in my disposal, and these didn't provide the solution we needed, Bash, Python and PowerShell always did.
I remember when I was younger I always made fun of Microsoft for force advertising the "cloud" oh how mistaken I was.
AWS, GCP and Azure, I fell in love with all three, from the bases of creating IAM groups to Serverless operations, work environments ("Machines") and tying it all up with a nice VPN tunnel for a secured connection, I love it all.
I worked on countless projects, learning how to set up various network equipment using their specific CLI syntax or web GUI. This included FortiGate, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, Peplink, Sophos, OPNsense, Juniper, HPE, Aruba, Ruckus, and Mist. I defined firewalls with comprehensive rules, established IPsec and VPN connections, configured switches and VLANs, and set up access points with LDAP RADIUS access.
I was blessed (or maybe just lucky) to have the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in the field of cybersecurity and to implement the newest security standards in the organizations I worked with. SentinelOne, Check Point, Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, and Falcon Browser are just some of the tools I used to ensure my organizations were secured with proper policies, agents, and managed browsers.
All of this occurred while I studied how to perform effective penetration tests to enhance our network security, before collaborating with security companies to implement ISO and GDPR standards.
When I started working in IT, I never thought I would want to be in a management position. I always liked my peace and quiet and preferred not to rely on others.
However, when the offer arose, with the promise that I could go back to my previous role if I regretted it, I took it just to see how it felt. Five years later, I couldn't be happier. Having the option to set standards, improve performance, and support my team feels right to me.
Achieving SLAs, setting KPIs, and being able to share my knowledge in the form of lessons for my team truly makes me feel alive and valued.
Taking on the responsibility of interviewing potential candidates for roles in my teams across Israel, Europe, the USA, and Asia, and the opportunity to assemble dream teams full of potential and see them bloom has brought me a new kind of happiness. Combined with my love for hands-on IT, I truly feel I’ve gotten the best of it all.
This was something I taught myself from scratch. I worked on projects ranging from the basics of learning how IAM works on AWS and GCP to fully implementing role-based SSO access via automation by department. I built everything from basic Linux machines to serverless Kubernetes pods and learned how to properly set up SSL certificates for machine services and VPN access. All of this was accomplished while self-learning how to use Datadog to monitor everything.
These are some of my recommendation letters.
some of them help me see that my hard work is well appreciated and some just warm my heart.
"Knowing a colleague is 50% work and 200% personal".
Here are some of my out of work hubbies, these are my absolute favorites out of each of them.
